The University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland includes nine schools. We are looking for you to join the School of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geomatics, Institute of Civil Engineering, from 1 September 2012 in Muttenz, Switzerland:

Research Associate (m/f) Geotechnical Engineering

Description Conduct research in geotechnical and special foundation engineering; take part in lecturing; assume the role of tutor for Master students and theses as well as tutorials; participate in FHNW s services in geotechnical engineering. You will be able and encouraged to work for a doctoral degree in cooperation with a university. The position is initially limited until 30 September 2015. We offer an attractive remuneration according to FHNW s special employment contract (GAV).

Requirements Degree in civil engineering (“Diplom” or Master from a technical university or university of applied sciences), preferably with a major in geotechnical engineering; interest in geotechnical topics, scientific work, numeric and experimental analyses, and in teaching; good knowledge of English; systematic and self-dependent working method; team player with a high level of commitment. FHNW strongly encourages applications by women.
