Postdoctoral Fellow Position in Neuroscience

Description A post-doctoral position in Neuroscience is available in the group of PD Dr. Jean-Yves Chatton starting October 2012. Our research projects are centered on the relationship between neuronal activity, glial cells, and the regulation of brain metabolism. Experimental approaches will make extensive use of electrophysiology and dynamic cellular imaging techniques (wide-field, one- and two-photon confocal fluorescence microscopy) for acute brain slice in vivo studies. Projects include the development of imaging and optical tools.
Requirements Applicants must have a PhD with neuroscience background and preferably have experience in brain slice or in vivo work, and a keen interest in biophysical approaches of biological research.
