Division Head, Microsystems Technology
Description
You are responsible for defining and communicating the strategic direction of the division and its areas of activity together with the head of the MEMS program. On the one hand, your job will be to guide and manage a team of around 40 staff, directing and motivating them to achieve their objectives. On the other hand, you will be in charge of the division’s operations, including setting and monitoring its budget. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the business and the portfolio of projects, as well as for project set-up, purchasing and negotiating the main contracts. You will cooperate with other divisions in CSEM, as well as with our academic and industrial partners in Switzerland and Europe.
Requirements
You are an EPF (or equivalent) Engineer in microtechnology, physics or material sciences (PhD level welcome), supported by proven experience in an area relating to microsystems (knowledge of the watch-making industry is an asset). You have a meticulous approach to your work and are able to listen and instil confidence in your team. You enjoy taking on challenges, keep a cool head under pressure and have a definite results-oriented approach to your work. You have a good command of English and French. The knowledge of German is a plus.
