By nature multidisciplinary the research in the School of pharmaceutical sicences is organized in research units working on challenging problems in drug discovery and development and take basic research from the bench to the person-centered pharmaceutical care.

The School has state-of-the-art facilities and attracts researchers from all over the world. The School benefits from excellent relationships with stakeholders, extensive collaborations with the pharmaceutical industry and health care providers. In few years, the Section became a key-player for pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences in the Lake of Geneva and the Arc Alpin regions.


Based on recent work on the formulation and development of microparticles as drug delivery systems in our laboratory, the aim of the project is to further improve and optimize formulation techniques, develop robust methods, and scale-up the process. The project consists of the formulation of drug-loaded particles able to release high drug loads over prolonged periods of time, and will be performed in close collaboration with a pharma company.


  • PhD in Pharmaceutical science or a related discipline.
  • The successful candidate should have a strong background in pharmaceutical technology, ideally master micro and nanoencapsulations techniques.
  • Skills in the field of lyophilization, sterilization, process optimization, experimental plans are particular assets.
  • The ability to conduct independent research and excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Working language will be English.
  • Good knowledge of French is an asset.
