Citizen Science Helvetia 2025 (CitSciHelvetia’25), the Swiss conference for citizen and participatory research, will take place on June 5 and 6, 2025, at the University of Lausanne (UNIL). The event, organised by UNIL’s ColLaboratoire, is promoted by the Science et Cité Foundation with the support of the Swiss Academies of Science. The 2025 edition will focus on "Citizen science in action. Collaborations between civil society and academia".
The conference is aimed at members of NGOs, associations, foundations, citizens’ collectives, public institutions and researchers in the natural and environmental sciences, human and social sciences, literature, law or economics. The aim is to explore how dialogue between civil society and academic institutions can address current challenges such as the climate crisis, biodiversity loss, and public health problems.
The call for proposals is open to contributions in one of six thematic areas, including: academia-civil society collaborations, citizen participation and engagement, funding strategies, communication and dissemination of results, methodological innovations, and policy evaluation and advocacy. Contribution formats include 15-minute presentations, interactive workshops and posters and booths. A flyer with full details is attached.
Proposals can be submitted in French, German or English by 30 November 2024 through the dedicated platform. For more details on the submission process, please visit the event’s official website: www.citscihelvetia.ch
