Certificates of Advanced Studies
CAS programmes aim to give greater depth or interdisciplinary breadth to an original academic qualification. They are aimed at university graduates who are working and wish to enhance their professional skills or specialise in a particular subject. They correspond to at least 10 ECTS credits and 150 contact hours and may involve written project work or a thesis. They are organised in the form of block courses or courses on fixed days of the week and last one to two years.

Fundamental pharmaceutical and radiochemical state of the art knowledge: European drug legislation, quality assurance and GxP, Radiopharmaceutical chemistry, Radiopharmacology and clinical radiopharmacy.
This international programme enables natural scientists to assume responsibility for both the production and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals. The programme is held in cooperation with the universities of Ljubljana and Leipzig. It provides essential knowledge in radiopharmaceutical chemistry, drug legislation, quality control, pharmaceutical technology, pharmacology and nuclear medicine. The programme follows the guidelines of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM).
On completion participants are capable of qualified and safe work with radiopharmaceuticals in order to take the responsibility for a legally compliant production of these drugs.
This programme enables natural scientists to assume responsibility for both the production and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals.

Target group and requirements
Chemists, pharmacists and other natural scientists involved in the production, quality control and R&D of radiopharmaceuticals.
University diploma (MSc) in pharmacy, chemistry, natural sciences or equivalent education, radiation protection course.
Required language skills

Start possible at any module.
200 hours, three two-week-modules and three examinations over two years (Module I, Ljubljana; Module II, Zurich; Module III, Leipzig)
