Technology, Management & Innovation
From fundamentals to current research topics in cyber security, a computer science oriented continuing education programme.
Cyber security can be understood as an umbrella term for a wide range of different topics. The focus of the programme lies on the computer science aspects of cyber security. Starting from the fundamentals, the attendees of the programme are introduced to current research topics of cyber security in the computer science department of ETH Zurich.
Attendees of the programme get a solid understanding of today’s challenges and problems associated with cyber security. Furthermore, attendees are introduced to state–of–the–art solutions, techniques, and research results in terms of the topics presented in the courses.
Graduates of the programme have a thorough understanding of the fundamental challenges in information security from a technical point of view. In terms of the chosen advanced courses, graduates are introduced to the current state of research, thus being well prepared to understand professional articles and being able to incorporate recent results into their work.
The programme consists of a set of required courses as well as a set of elective courses. It allows participants to choose from a multifaceted set of graduate courses. To complement the more technical courses, the set of elective courses includes policy and strategy-oriented courses.
