This MAS aims at deepening theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during the baseline studies in the field of conservative dental treatment and microinvasive aesthetic dentistry. It fosters dental practitioners’ excellence in their practice. Pour la version française cliquez ici Bilingual course (English/French). 4 semesters min. 6 semesters max. , 400 hours of teaching and 1400 hours of personal work, making a total of 1800 hours over the two years. The preparation and realisation of clinical cases will be supervised by specialised clinical tutors. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the University of Geneva during the 2nd quarter of 2021 for an interview and a practical test on a manikin. Develop the theoretical basis for a microinvasive approach in conservative dental treatments, i.e. aiming for a minimum of intervention and optimal preservation of healthy dental tissues Organize dental treatments in a global approach to the patient : master the latest diagnostics tools (photography, X-ray, Diagnocam, Digital Smile Design, etc...) and know how to select the most appropriate treatment taking into account theoretical knowledge of other specialties related to esthetic dentistry, such as prevention and emergency care, pedodontics, endodontics, periodontics and implantology, orthodontics and maxillofacial surgery, prosthodontics and gnathology The Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Microinvasive Aesthetic Dentistry is an advanced continuing education programme in this field offered by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva. It is based on the latest scientific and clinical research and offers a theoretical and practical programme of high quality. It is intended for practitioners aiming to perfect themselves and be able to meet the current national and international technological criteria linked to the rapid and irreversible evolution of our profession. This continuing training is currently the only of this type in Switzerland. It is accredited by the Swiss Agency for Accreditation and Quality Assurance - AAQ.
The Management Committee conducts assessments of theoretical knowledge (using multiple-choice questions) and practical skills (based on evaluations) throughout the course in addition to the interim examinations. Students must pass the assessments and technical aspects of the first basic module in order to continue with the course.
The Master of Advanced Studies in Micro-invasive Aesthetic Dentistry is issued by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva. It corresponds to 60 ECTS credits validated throughout the duration of the program by the candidates' monitoring form.
