LL.M. in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) (2023)

The MIDS offers a world-class opportunity for in-depth and high-profile study of international dispute settlement. Thanks to its innovative educational methodology and a faculty composed of the most prominent practitioners and academics, the MIDS is a leading programme in the field.

Provide the opportunity for in-depth study of all aspects of dispute settlement in the international arena, across the divide of public and private, with an emphasis on today’s most relevant fields such as commercial and investment arbitration, and ICJ and WTO dispute settlement procedures

Law school graduate, lawyer working in law firm, government, international organization or NGO, judge or doctoral student. Some professional and/or moot court experience in a related field is an advantage. The programme seeks to enroll candidates from a variety of countries, backgrounds and career plans.

8 intensive courses from a choice of 13 (on topics such as International Commercial/Investment Arbitration, WTO Dispute Settlement, and Arbitration in the United States)

To be considered for the programme, applicants must have received, or expect to receive by the summer of 2021, at least a first complete law degree (such as a Bologna Master’s degree, a J.D. or an LL.B.) or another academic qualification deemed equivalent by the Programme Directors. 

Tuition fees for the 2023-2024 program are set at CHF 28’000.

To confirm the enrolment in MIDS, admitted students must pay a non-refundable deposit of CHF 700.- within two weeks after they are informed about their admission. This amount will be credited towards the tuition fees.

The remaining tuition fees are payable in three instalments according to the following schedule:
