The DAS in Peace & Conflict program provides a holistic understanding of peacebuilding aimed at transforming violent conflict by peaceful means, promoting peace, rebuilding societies affected by war and preventing violence from re-erupting. This postgraduate DAS program bridges current academic findings with the latest insights from peacebuilding practice. Your benefits: Our on-site and virtual courses are taught by highly experienced experts from different contexts and provide a platform for learning, reflection, and exchange among accomplished professionals and people who aspire to develop a career in peacebuilding. In addition, they attend an Advanced Module (2-3 courses) and deepen their learnings on a topic of their choice with a DAS Final Thesis relevant to their work or career development. Successful participants are awarded a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Peace & Conflict (30 ECTS). This program can be taken as a module of the Master of Advanced Studies in Peace & Conflict program offered by swisspeace and the University of Basel. This program is designed for professionals interested in combining current academic insights and practical knowledge in peace and conflict studies. A minimum of two years of professional experience in relevant fields and a university degree (minimum BA) or an equivalent educational background are required. Depending on the courses you choose for your DAS Peace & Conflict, different international scholars and experienced practitioners will facilitate the program. CHF 17’800. Travel, food and accommodation costs are not included in the fee. Unfortunately, swisspeace does not provide any scholarships for this program. Participants (or their employer) must be able to cover the tuition fee. Participants can join the program at any time of the year with a course of their choice.
