Bern, 26.11.2018 - President Alain Berset and Federal Councillor Doris Leuthard will attend the next UN climate conference being held in Katowice, Poland, from 3 to 14 December. The international community will gather to draw up guidelines on implementing the Paris climate agreement, to be known as the Paris Rulebook.

Bern, 03.07.2018 - Switzerland now has a new nationwide surface runoff map, another important instrument for flood prevention. This hazard causes up to 50% of the damage from flooding. The map was produced jointly by the public and private sectors.

Bern, 20.06.2018 - At its meeting on 20 June 2018, the Federal Council adopted Switzerland's country report on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The report shows that Switzerland has already firmly established the UN's Sustainable Development Goals in its policies, although challenges still remain.

Neuchâtel, 18.12.2017 - (FSO) - The value added of the environmental market rose by 30% between 2008 and 2016. It increased from CHF 16.3 to 21.3 billion, i.e. from 2.7% to 3.2% of the gross domestic product (GDP).
