About this opportunity: Help transform our data into the foundation for digital science and innovation in our Technology and Digital Integration (TDI), Crop Protection R&D
As part of the Crop Protection strategic agenda, there has been significant focus and investment in digital transformation throughout our research and development functions and pipeline. Our ambition in TDI is to lead this exciting digital journey and provide data and digital expertise and technologies that enable R&D functions to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation which ultimately leads to sustainable food production for the planet. We do this through agile partnering with IT, R&D functions and external collaborators to shape, coordinate and relentlessly execute on our data and digital agenda.
Our digital challenges are vast and unique: from generative AI in chemical synthesis to multi-omics, and from computer vision and sensors to predictive safety, and streamlined regulatory submissions; the underlying theme is data , as our competitive advantage .
Therefore, we are looking for an experienced data quality and data governance leader to help us transform our data into the foundation for digital science and innovation. Reporting into the Data Strategy and Data Assets group in TDI, you will own the strategic agenda and for data governance and quality . You partner closely with data generators, scientific experts , data managers, data scientists , and other business stakeholders to make sure our data is timely, robust, trustworthy and compliant. You establish and set up global policies, frameworks , methodologies and platforms for access and security, data sharing, integrity and quality al ong the end-to-end data flow s and lifecycle, from generation/acquisition to use and re-use ; moreover you d efine and govern a set of CP R&D wide standards on data and metadata, to e nable and promote effective , consistent, transparent and compliant access, preparation and exploitation of our data at scale ; Finally , you are key to the success of the data programme as you lead R&D-wide data transformation efforts, such as the creation and management of a data glossary, data catalogue, data lineage and data lake , and you serve as the Agile product owner for cross-functional data platforms.
You should have up-to-date experience and expertise in data and information management , quality and governance with a strong focus on strategy and delivery . You are a proven leader wi th experience leading data and digital initiatives in complex, diverse, matrix environments and a track record of change management . You are a superb communicator , networker and influence r who can challenge and shape how things are done. I deally , you have a good understanding of scientific R&D processes , along with data security and privacy considerations .
