The University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) offers at the Department of Business Economics, Health and Social Care (DEASS) based in Manno, a position of Professor in Technology and Health at the Competence Centre for Healthcare Practices and Policies (CPPS). Professional context The Competence Centre for Healthcare Practices and Policies (CPPS) conducts applied research on clinical and care processes and the socio-political systems that frame them, with the aim of developing and promoting effective, ethical and socially sustainable health practices and policies that focus on the safety and well-being of patients, their families and social and health professionals. The CPPS actively collaborates with the Swiss School of Public Health and is characterised by a strong anchorage to local institutions, while at the same time keeping an eye on what is happening on a national and international scale. The research activity of the CPPS focuses on the following topics: the organisation of health systems, the health professions and their transformations, health behaviour, technologies in relation to health professions and health behaviour, narrative medicine and clinical ethics, gender issues in relation to health. | |
