DescriptionWithin an interdisciplinary European collaboration, we seek to fill a position for a Doctoral PhD candidate. Starting date Fall 2024. Peptide- and protein-modifications are required for numerous applications ranging from up-cycling protein waste streams to sophisticated applications in biotechnology, medicine and crop protection. The proposed doctoral project will develop and apply methods to selectively functionalize, modify or cleave peptides and proteins by chemical (non-enzymatic) methods, ideally with high yield and selectivity.
The contract will be for three years upon successful completion of the initial first year. You will conduct your research at School of Life Sciences FHNW and are enrolled as a PhD candidate at the University of Basel. | |
