The Lucerne School of Music is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its continuing education program. The department headed by Andrea Kumpe, which once started small, is now a successful model with over 600 participants every year.
Kumpe, who discovered her passion for music at an early age, has been able to continuously develop and expand the department. A key success factor was the flexible design of the further education programs, which are geared towards the current needs of the music industry. The programs cover a broad spectrum - from music education to artistic performances. Important partners such as the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and the Lucerne Festival support the department.
For the future, Kumpe would like to see more room for creative ideas and an even stronger focus on innovative programs that support musicians in their professional development.
