ADAM (Applications of Detector and Accelerators to Medicine) is a research company, inspired by CERN, working on R&D and production of accelerators for medical applications. ADAM is head-quartered in Geneva; its offices and laboratories are based at CERN. ADAM is involved in a hadron-therapy project to build a proton linear accelerator with energy up to 230 MeV. Description

Primary Focus : Development of electronics for the acquisition, control and calibration of signals from the AC current transformers of the LIGHT accelerator.

  • To support the beam diagnostics group in all activities
  • To develop electronic solutions for beam diagnostics hardware following the full project lifecycle
  • To communicate the status, risks and achievements pertaining to the beam diagnostics group to upper management and to other members of the ADAM/AVO team
  • To assist in the installation of all beam diagnostics hardware and electronics in the test facilities at Point 2 (the bunker)
  • To assist in the commissioning of the LIGHT accelerator

Exigences

  • MSc and/or PhD
  • Must be highly motivated, self-directed and able to work well in a team
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in EnglishWorking knowledge of French /Italian
