The project is co-leaded by the Geneva Platelet Group (Prof P. Fontana) and the group of Prof M. Neerman-Arbez, Faculty of Medicine, Geneva University.

Description

The aim of the project is to assess the roles of candidate miRNAs in regulation of platelet reactivity with several models, including laser-induced larval zebrafish thrombocyte aggregation. The selected postdoctoral scientist will develop several approaches such as the use of Tol2 transposon-based transgenesis plasmids and CRISPR-Cas9-based genome editing tools. The successful candidate will conduct original research and produce material for publication and dissemination.

Exigences

PhD with extensive prior experience in genetics, zebrafish, molecular pathways, cardiovascular biology, imaging, or equivalent fields.

Candidates must be able to work independently as well as with interdisciplinary teams.
