Eawag, the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology, is an internationally networked aquatic research institute within the ETH Domain (Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology). Eawag conducts research, education and expert consulting to achieve the dual goals of meeting direct human needs for water and maintaining the function and integrity of aquatic ecosystems.

to conduct research in the area of Alpine Stream Ecology. In particular, the Postdoc will conduct research on the ecology of Intermittent Streams in a glacierized catchment in the Alps (Val Roseg) with a focus on eco-hydrology, ecosystem function, biodiversity and food webs. The current study will integrate these various ecosystem properties towards a better understanding of ecosystem response to flow intermittency and landscape transformation following rapid environmental change as is happening now in alpine landscapes globally.

Robinson. Selection of the postdoctoral fellow will be based on his or her academic record. An earned Ph.D. degree is required for the postdoctoral appointment. It is expected that the candidate’s Ph.D. degree will have been granted not more than 2 years before the application deadline.
