The research position concerns Magnetic Resonance (MR) pulse sequence design, image reconstruction and data analysis approaches for Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP) based hyperpolarized imaging of cardiac perfusion and metabolism on experimental MR equipment. The work is part of a close collaboration with the Solid-State NMR group at ETH Zurich (?" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"> to develop novel hyperpolarization technology and its in-vivo imaging application. To this end, theoretical, experimental and applied research is pursued.

The candidate holds a Master of Science degree in physics, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering or chemistry with first class grades. He/she should present with a keen interest in imaging physics, advanced signal and data processing and applications of cutting-edge imaging technology. Very good programming skills (Matlab/Python, C(++)) and interest in both theoretical and practical work are a premise. An innovative spirit and team player skills round off the profile.
