A UAS Associate Professor in Data Curation Activity
teach in the fields of data visualisation, data analysis and structuring, data life cycle management, in our Bachelor and Master programs, as well as in continuing education programs
develop and/or reinforce expertise in the field of Open Science, including Open Access and Open Data
supervise Bachelor and Master theses
writing – mainly in English – and conduct applied research projects funded by swiss or international funding agencies (FNS, InnoSuisse, Horizon2020, Swissuniversities,...) related to the field of teaching
conduct applied research projects and services delivery related to the field of teaching
enhance research in the form of scientific articles, conferences and mainstream publications
perform administrative and organizational activities related to the field of teaching and research Profile
graduate degree in Information Sciences or related field. A PhD in a related field is a very important asset
teaching experience at the Bachelor and Master levels or in the continuing education programs are strongly recommended
a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the field of Data Curation with proven expertise in the use of Data Curation tools (FAIR), Visualisation or Analytics (e.g. ELK Stack)
ability to operate in a complex changing environment and work with a team
proven track record of securing funding for applied research, conducting research projects and managing a research team, as well as of obtaining and performing consulting mandates
teamwork and shared ambition leader
good communication and writing skills in French and English
In case the successful candidate does not fulfill all the conditions to rise the position of UAS Associate Professor immediately, a temporary contract for the position of Tenure Track UAS Assistant Professor with a determined duration of a maximum of 6 years is possible.
