Euresearch is an information and advisory service on the European Research and Innovation Framework Programme Horizon 2020. It has offices in all the Swiss regions and a Network Office in Bern. Euresearch operates as a non-profit association on behalf of the Swiss Confederation.

Description

In the role of an advisor, you will inform and advise clients from both the public and the private sector in Switzerland on Legal and Finance (L&F) aspects of prospective and running projects within Horizon 2020, the European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. Your main activities will consist of:

  • obtaining, processing and disseminating information related to L&F in Horizon 2020 on various channels (Euresearch Network, website, social media, etc.).
  • advising and training active or potential clients and the Euresearch Network individually and in groups with regard to L&F aspects of European framework programmes.
  • consolidate feedback and exchange best practice on both, current and new model grant agreement, mechanisms, eligibility, rules for participation, Swiss association, etc.
  • reaching out to and maintaining good contacts with individual clients as well as with the relevant institutional stakeholders at national level and the European Commission and Agencies.

Requirements

You have a legal background or a scientific profile with post-graduate degree in law with a focus either on Intellectual Property, Compliance and/or Auditing. Preferably you have already worked in research management of European Projects or directly in a Horizon 2020 project. Ideally, the candidate is up to speed on the current programme Horizon 2020, and can thus focus on the preparation of Horizon Europe.

The ideal candidate enjoys bridging funding regulations and research. Next to analytical skills, she/he is a strong communicator, and a good and service-oriented networker. You have a passion for research and innovation, and like working in an international environment. Your ability to adapt our services to the clients’ needs, your solution-oriented mindset, together with excellent and presentation skills make you a trusted advisor of our clients and the Euresearch Network.
You communicate fluently in English, German and/or French and understand the third language very well. The place of work is Bern, and the position will involve national and international travel activities of approximately 20%.
