hemotune  is an early stage medical device startup project currently incubated at Wyss Zurich. Our mission is to develop a live-saving breakthrough medical device for targeted blood purification. We are currently in the preclinical development phase with the goal of reaching a first-in-man clinical trial in 2021. Your responsibilities are to support our interdisciplinary R&D team in the synthesis, characterization, as well as functional and biocompatibility testing of hemotune’s magnetic nanosorbent products. Furthermore, you will assist in the preclinical evaluation of our unique magnetic blood purification technology as well as track, monitor, and report the project progress and deliverables.

You will have the chance to get hands-on lab experience with nanomaterials and to apply your knowledge accumulated during your studies. You are excited  to work in a startup environment and are a strong team player, who enjoys thinking outside of the box. Besides excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and/or English, you bring along at least a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biomedicine, or Nanotechnology. You are experienced in working in a laboratory environment and are familiar with chemical and/or biological standard lab techniques, while experience with nanomaterials is a plus.
