Biomedical/Materials/Micro-Engineer (W/M)

Your mission :
We are looking for a motivated scientist/engineer to join our laboratory (Microsystems Laboratory, EPFL-STI-IMT-LMIS1) to collaborate on a joint project with our industrial partner (ANECOVA SA, EPFL Innovation Park) who is specializing in human-assisted reproduction. Your mission is to develop, fabricate and test new devices for fertilization and embryo development in the maternal environment.

Main duties and responsibilities include :
  • Develop new fabrication processes and fabricate devices for biomedical products
  • Cleanroom fabrication (Photolithography, Dry-Etching, Templating etc.)
  • Collaboration in a multidisciplinary team
  • Coordination with third party-suppliers


Your profile :
  • Self-driven and motivated personality
  • Reliable, highly organized and able to work independently
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Micro-Engineering or Materials Science, Bioengineering
  • Knowledge in Microfabrication, Microfluidics or related domains
  • Accustomed to work in a regulated environment with demanding quality systems and development processes.
  • Solution oriented
  • Confident in reaching out to potential third-party suppliers
  • Strong knowledge in English, written and spoken
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
