Your mission :
The Stream Biofilm and Ecosystem Research Laboratory (SBER, ?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.epfl.ch%2Flabs%2Fsber%2F&module=jobs&id=48187" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.epfl.ch/labs/sber/ ) at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, conducts unique research in the domains of microbial ecology (see ?url=https%3A%2F%2Fnomisfoundation.ch%2F&module=jobs&id=48187" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://nomisfoundation.ch/ ) and ecosystem processes of high-mountain streams (see ?url=https%3A%2F%2Fmetalp.epfl.ch%2F&module=jobs&id=48187" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://metalp.epfl.ch/ ). We wish to reinforce our research on the structure and function of the biofilm microbiome in glacier-fed streams.

Therefore, we seek a highly motivated postdoc with experience in microbial ecology and evolution, and bioinformatics.

PhD degree in microbial ecology, molecular biology, environmental sciences, computational biology or equivalent

Advanced competencies in microbial community ecology, including its theoretical foundations, and biogeography

Outstanding skills in quantitative analyses, large data set handling and bioinformatics
