We investigate these impacts using numerical modelling with the aim of creating a scientific basis for climate adaptation strategies. The major focus of the present position is to extend our operational near-real-time modelling of lake temperature ( ?" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"> ) with water quality modelling, with an emphasis on dissolved oxygen and to participate in the next round of the lake simulations in the Inter-Sectoral Impact Model Intercomparison Project ( ISIMIP ), which aims at assessing climate change impacts on lakes at the global scale.
