PhD Position in Intelligent Health Systems (Explainable Intelligent Agents)

• Applications are invited for a Ph.D. position (80%-100%) to join the Applied Intelligent Agents Lab (AISLab) at HES-SO Valais Wallis ( ?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.hevs.ch%2Faislab&module=jobs&id=49581" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.hevs.ch/aislab ), Sierre, Switzerland
• The successful applicant will join a very motivated team of international researchers working on Artificial Intelligence techniques (Machine Learning and Intelligent Agents) applied to healthcare
• The PhD will be conducted in close collaboration with researchers of the University of Bologna (Italy), University of Luxembourg (Luxembourg), and Özyeğin University (Turkey).

• The candidate is expected to work on a PhD on novel explainable AI techniques for semantic, symbolic, and sub-symbolic knowledge management (i.e., integration and negotiation) in the context of Machine Learning and distributed intelligent systems.
• Application area nutrition monitoring and recommandation.

Requirements for the position:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science
• Competences in Machine Learning
• Excellent knowledge of English
