Scientific Editor (50%) Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (ISPM) The Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (ISPM) at the University of Bern carries out interdisciplinary research in social and behavioral health, clinical epidemiology and biostatistics, and international and environmental health, and provides undergraduate and postgraduate education.

Description Assist manuscript preparation for ISPM staff who publish scientific articles in --international journals Give practical guidance about writing for varied scientific journals and responses to reviewers Assist with writing grants, reports, and related documents Provide editorial review of internal ISPM documents and press releases as necessary Review other documents, also as necessary

Requirements Postgraduate education to PhD level, preferably in the natural sciences, medicine, or related fields Extensive experience with publication in a wide range of peer-reviewed academic journals Experience in supporting researchers writing for scientific publication Native-speaker command of written English Excellent communication skills Ability to organise and prioritise tasks independently Ability to work flexibly and to deadline
