The position

leadXpro is urgently seeking a highly motivated and cooperative Laboratory Assistant who will be part of an interdisciplinary team of scientists working on leadXpro’s proprietary projects, within a highly collaborative and international environment. Your main role would be to assist the laboratory manager to carry out a variety of tasks critical for the maintenance of the lab. The position can be 60-100%, with flexible working hours possible.

Key tasks and responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to work within a dynamic team that values transparency, integrity, reliability and a passion for science to create benefits for patients.

Key duties include:

  • Teaming up with the laboratory manager to ensure good work organization
  • Preparing stock solutions and buffers
  • Preparing and autoclaving media
  • Preparing plasmid DNA in various scales
  • Managing inventory and restocking consumables
  • Cleaning and organising glassware and laboratory equipment
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment, e.g. calibrating pH meters
  • Managing and autoclaving waste
  • Participating in routine cell culture tasks, where appropriate


Your qualifications

Applicants should preferably have an apprenticeship education or equivalent experience working in a laboratory environment, demonstrating a high standard of technical abilities, organization and efficiency. You should have experience with handling chemicals and sterile working. Experience with cell culture is desirable, but not required. You would be working in an international team and basic communication skills in English are required.
