DescriptionThe holder of this position will play a key role in meeting the increasing demand for research in the area of early childhood education and care. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to research in the framework of quality development initiatives in early childhood of the Ministry of National Education (MENJE), as well as providing scientific advice and social reporting on, e.g., the living conditions and well-being of children in Luxembourg. The holder will further continue the successful and established collaboration with various national stakeholders and further develop third-party funded policy-relevant research projects. Other activities will include contributions to the national childhood report.
Contract type:
The position is offered at the Associate Professor or Assistant Professor (tenure track) level, depending on qualification. At Associate Professor level the position is tenured. At Assistant Professor level, tenure may be granted after 5 years upon positive evaluation.

Requirements
Language requirements The University of Luxembourg is set in a multilingual context. The person hired on this position must be proficient in English and either French or German. The University encourages its staff to learn the other language and provides access to language courses to this end. | |
