For this role, we are looking for a (bio-)statistician with strong interpersonal skills to help us transform the way we conduct field experiments. If you have an aptitude for working with other people, a background in statistics and would like to apply this knowledge to explore and innovate in experimental designs, data-capture methods and data analytics, this job could be perfect for you. You would join a diverse and collaborative team, where your contribution is valued, and your development is a priority.

  • Co-ownership, together with technical managers, of the (i) design of experiments, (ii) communication with trial-implementation team, (iii) interpretation of results for product-development and promotion decisions in Crop Protection Development, with focus on Weed or Insect Control.

  • Ensure that diverse data sources are effectively connected and integrated into analysis and modelling – across Syngenta and from data sources external to Syngenta.

Requirements:
  • Postgraduate degree in statistics or in natural sciences with a heavy component of statistics. Master’s Degree with many years of professional experience or PhD Degree.
  • Experience with either weed control or insect control.
