Agroscope is looking for a: Research Scientist: Wheat Breeding and Genetics 1 Plant breeding is a key element of top-quality and competitive agricultural production. Productive, disease-resistant varieties that are adapted to local conditions form the basis of sustainable and resource-friendly plant production. In collaboration with national and international partners, the Research group ’Field Crop Breeding and Genetic Resources’ develops competitive breeding programmes for wheat and soybean and for the preservation, characterization and enhancement of genetic resources. The most advanced breeding technologies are constantly implemented into the breeding programmes. Your experience, professional skills and creativity will allow you to be the successful candidate and contribute to the future successes of the Group. About us Agroscope is the Swiss Confederation’s centre of excellence for research in the agriculture and food sector. Research is carried out at various sites in Switzerland. Headquartered in Bern-Liebefeld. Agroscope is affiliated to the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research EAER. | |
