Description

The Department of Genetics and Evolution at the University of Geneva offers a highly dynamic and stimulating research environment. It is internationally renowned for the quality of its research, which is highly interdisciplinary, associating genetics, development, and evolution.

The Department is opening a full-time position of Assistant Professor, tenure track, in the field of genetics, development, and evolution. Duties include teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervising master and doctoral theses.

The successful candidate will develop a research program at the highest international level and secure external funding. We expect the use of the most advanced techniques to lead creative and original research. The candidate may be recruited on a research theme currently developed by the department, but not necessarily.

Requirements

  • PhD degree or equivalent.
  • Publications in high-ranked peer-reviewed international journals.
  • Teaching experience is appreciated.
