We seek a highly motivated and productive Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join Professor Jan Lünemann’s team within the Department of Neurology with Institute of Translational Neurology at the University of Münster.

Description

Aim of the project is the development and evaluation of therapeutic strategies to re-established immunotolerance in autoimmune neuro-inflammatory diseases such as multiple sclerosis and in experimental animal models. The project will be closely associated with the German trans-regional Collaborative Research Center CRC128 Multiple Sclerosis and is supported by international collaborations, ensuring high quality research and optimal networking. There is the option of obtaining a postdoctoral lecture qualification.

The position is initially limited to three years. Funding for an extension is available and extensions will be negotiated depending on the progress of the project.

Requirements

We expect a strong interest and expertise in immunology. Previous experience in flow cytometry, immunological assays, protein biochemistry, neurobiology and cell biology techniques and/or animal experimentation will be helpful. The applicant should be willing to work independently, but also to be a team player and be willing to contribute to the team’s success.
