Neuchâtel, 10.11.2022 - In 2021, 68% of the population took part in education and training (including continuing education and self-directed learning). While the majority of people in education and training are under the age of 34, participation in continuing education is around 50% among persons aged 25 to 60 and only declines significantly after that age. 29% of the population aged 25 to 74 were unable to continue education as they wished, with 17% being only partially able and 12% not at all. These and other findings are presented in the latest publication on the Swiss Adult Education Survey 2021 by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
