Julia Bohlius receives the Dora Seif Prize for her outstanding contributions in cancer research - Julia Bohlius, Head of Education and Training at Swiss TPH, has been awarded the Dora Seif Cancer Research Prize. She receives this prize for her outstanding contributions to assessing the burden of cancer in people living with HIV, improving the quality of care for women at high risk for cervical cancer, and developing clinical guidelines for oncology interventions. Every two years, the Basel-based Dora Seif Foundation awards the Dora Seif Cancer Research Prize, worth 5,000 Swiss francs, for the best work that contributes to improving the early detection and treatment (prevention and prophylaxis) of cancer. On December 19, 2022, the Foundation awarded this year's prize to Julia Bohlius, Head of the Education and Training Department at Swiss TPH, and Walter Weber from the University Hospital Basel. The award recognizes Julia Bohlius' outstanding achievements in assessing the cancer burden of people living with HIV, improving the quality of care for women at high risk for cervical cancer, and developing clinical guidelines for oncology interventions. -I am honored to receive this award, and I would like to thank all of the research partners and collaborators who made this research possible," Bohlius said. -I look forward to continuing to advance cancer prevention at the intersection of HIV and health care in disadvantaged populations.
