Since 2010, the Lucerne School of Social Work has trained coaches as part of the Coaching for Employment (C4E) programme, which prepares young, marginalized people for their start in the job market.

The success of the programme has been so convincing that C4E is now offered in many other countries such as Kosovo, Laos, Morocco and El Salvador, in collaboration with Swisscontact.

Other collaborations have developed from the many years of cooperation, such as the global program ’leave no one behind’, supported by the UNDP, under whose auspices projects for outreach work with vulnerable families or for the further training of professionals working in institutions with people with physical or cognitive disabilities have been supported and financed.

From 2023 to 2024, a project team from the Lucerne School of Social Work worked with the three partner universities in Tirana, Shkodra and Elbasan on four text books with basic principles for social work and the implementation of practical training modules in the social work degree programs.

On May 24, 2024, the 6th International Conference for Social Work took place in Tirana, at which the Lucerne School of Social Work was also present as a partner university as part of the collaboration. A keynote speech and a workshop contribution addressed current social challenges for social work and discussed their impact on studies and practical training.
