Workshop on solid-state lighting in Muttenz

Solid-state lighting (SSL) represents a revolution in the lighting domain, comparable to the invention of the incandescent bulb in the 19th century. SSL devices such as semi-conductor-based light-emitting diodes (LEDs) or organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) are the light sources of the future.

Swissphotonics and the Swiss National Laboratory for Solid State Lighting (SSSL) are inviting to a workshop on Large-area SS on Thursday, 30th October 2014 in Muttenz. The event will be held in collaboration with the European project LASSIE-FP7, with CSEM, AMIRES and EPIC. Venue is the Pantheon Basel (Hofackerstrasse 72) in Muttenz, conference language is English.

The workshop aims to provide an overview on the current trends of both the technology and the market, as well on the latest technical developments, with focus on large-area illumination for professional and architectural lighting.

Deadline for inscription is 24th October 2014, the workshop is free of charge.
