Elena Sofia Moretti (Treviso, class of 1994) and Marco Felicioni (Perugia, class of 1994) are the winners of the second Mendrisio Prize - Archivio del Moderno, announced by the Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Istituto Italiano di Cultura Zurich, in collaboration with the Archivio del Moderno Foundation.
Elena Sofia Moretti and Marco Felicioni, whose winnings were announced on 15 October, will spend six months at Archivio del Moderno (February-July 2025) in order to study contemporary architecture in depth. They will also participate in cultural activities organised by Istituto Italiano di Cultura Zurich and the Archivio del Moderno Foundation, including presenting the results of their work at the end of their residency. During their stay, they will be supported by a tutor with international experience and a specialist in the topics addressed.
The selection committee was composed of Francesco Ziosi , acting as President (IIC Zurich), Linda Stagni (ETH), Tullia Iori (Tor Vergata University of Rome), Nicola Navone (Università della Svizzera italiana) and Luciano Antonino Scuderi (MiC Contemporary Creativity Directorate General).
